The Media Solutions team at The Irish Times Group has teamed up with dentsu Ireland and Electric Ireland to launch a new initiative called Ireland’s Greenest Places.

The new initiative asks readers of the Irish Times to nominate the places across Ireland they believe deserve to be recognised for their commitment to sustainability and climate action.

Over the next four months, judges will shortlist the nominations, visit the front-runners and choose winners in each category, as well as an overall winner.

The judging panel is made up of people with expertise in sustainability and environmentalism and includes former Green Party leader and minister for environment Eamon Ryan; Irish Times Environment Editor Kevin O’Sullivan, Senior Features Writer Rosita Boland and Head of Marketing at Electric Ireland Lisa Browne. Irish Times Features Editor Mary Minihan will chair the panel.
